2016 Knox County Veteran Services Information Meeting for Healthcare Professionals Date: March 30th, 2016 Location: Karns Senior Center Time: 2:30-3:30 Please join ETPCS & Tom Humphries from the Knox County Veterans Services Office will give a presentation on VA benefits for Veterans and surviving spouses. He will talk about the following VA benefits: Improved Pension benefit with Housebound\Aid and Attendance, Service Connected disability benefits and Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) benefits. Memorial Day 2014 in Knoxville

Memorial Day 2014 ANDERSON COUNTY Memorial Day Ceremony: 10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in front of the Anderson County Courthouse. There will be a wreath laying ceremony along with guest speaker John Ragan, TN House District 33 Representative.   BLOUNT COUNTY Memorial Mayhem: Weekend event started Friday at 9 a.m. at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson. Rides took place on Friday and continue Saturday with vendors on site all weekend. The Kentucky Headhunters will perform with the Cathouse Prophets Saturday at 8 p.m. at The Shed. For more information and tickets to the musical performances, visit www.smh-d.com.   KNOX COUNTY Reading of the Names: The East Tennessee Veterans Memorial Association will host its annual Memorial Day event beginning at 6 a.m. at the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial at World’s Fair Park. More than 70 volunteers will read all 6,220 names in the memorial by conflict and county. It should finish around 11:30 a.m. Following this will be American Legion Post No. 2’s traditional Memorial Day ceremony.
