ETPCS in conjunction with Alzheimer’s Tennessee are proud Program Partners for an absolutely wonderful series of seminars that the Knoxville Bar Association is providing. The LawTalk series is a free program focused on sharing information with the public about their legal rights. The FREE seminars will be taught by practicing attorneys who are volunteers with the Knoxville Bar Association. 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Will & Estate Planning for Everyone Where there’s a will – there’s a family provided for by a thoughtful loved one.  Topics of discussion include wills and trusts, probate options in Tennessee and the importance of living wills and  powers of attorney. This session will also address the planning  necessary to assure that in case of legal incapacity, your wishes regarding financial and health care decisions will be followed. 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Legal Protection for Elderly, the Disabled & their Caregivers We’ll discuss the following topics: The latest news in government benefits programs and how those programs may/may not pay for long term care; how seniors can/cannot get money and other assets to family members; and mental capacity/dementia issues.
